Berry emphasized that emerging technologies are giving rise to entirely new industries valued in the billions of dollars. "The focus of AI investment is increasingly shifting toward the healthcare sector, with the number of AI-related transactions in healthcare surpassing those in the overall technology industry. To date, more than 1,000 AI-based medical devices have received regulatory approval, and artificial intelligence is now actively being used in real-world clinical trials," Berry stated.

"The cyclical mechanism of 'increased healthcare spending → extended lifespan → greater demand for medical services → industry growth' serves as a key driver of the healthcare industry growth, and the integration of AI technology is further strengthening this self-sustaining ecosystem," Berry emphasized. "As sufficient data continues to accumulate, AI will enable more effective treatment outcomes, personalized predictive models, and significant cost reductions. Korea, in particular, is often cited as a leading example of well-established data standardization and advanced infrastructure design, factors that position the country for rapid development in the AI-driven ​​healthcare industry," he added.
